FAQ

Questions worth answering directly.

If something is not covered here, ask through the contact page and it will likely end up added below.

Is Probability Player a trading strategy?

No. The books, coaching, and companion series do not teach entries, exits, indicators, or setups. They teach the behavior and identity work required to execute whatever strategy you already trade without sabotaging it under pressure.

Will this tell me what to buy or sell?

No. Nothing here is a signal service, a recommendation, or financial advice. Read the full Waiver & Disclaimer for the complete picture.

Who is this actually for?

Traders who already have some scars. This is not written for someone taking their first trade. It assumes you have technical knowledge and have still watched your own results erode under pressure, whether that shows up as hesitation, oversizing, moved stops, or the quieter damage of tying your self-worth to your last trade.

Do I need to read the books before booking a coaching session?

No, though many readers find the books give useful shared language for the coaching conversation. Coaching is built around your own data and patterns either way.

What happens in a coaching session?

Sessions run live over Zoom, one on one. Expect a working conversation grounded in your own recent trade or review data, not a scripted lesson. Full detail is on the coaching page.

How do I book and pay for coaching?

Scheduling runs through Setmore and payment runs through PayPal. Both are linked from the coaching page. Everyone starts with the Intro & Fit Call, that's booked and paid for first. If we agree to move forward afterward, the 5 or 10-session package is paid for separately, and sessions are then scheduled with you one at a time.

What is the Intro & Fit Call, exactly?

A paid, 30-minute Zoom call, $50, that exists to test the working relationship before either of us commits further. Expect a direct conversation about where you currently are as a trader, what specifically is breaking down under pressure, and whether ongoing 1:1 coaching is actually the right tool for that, as opposed to, say, the books alone, or something outside what coaching here offers. It is not a sales call and it is not a free consultation. It is a real, working session, priced accordingly.

How is "suitability" actually assessed on that call?

Mainly through the same lens the books use: is the core problem behavioral and identity-related (hesitation, oversizing, moving stops, tying self-worth to outcomes), or is it something coaching here is not built for, such as a purely technical or strategy gap, an acute mental health crisis better served by a licensed professional, or a situation where ongoing 1:1 work simply is not the right next step yet. Ramsey will tell you directly which of these applies, rather than leaving it ambiguous.

What if the call goes well, can I skip straight to booking a package?

Yes. If it's a clear fit, you can purchase a 5 or 10-session package immediately after the call, or any time afterward. There's no cooling-off period required. The point of the call is honesty about fit, not a delay tactic.

What exactly does "refunded minus processing fees" mean?

If, after the Intro & Fit Call, either you or Ramsey decides coaching is not the right fit right now, the $50 is refunded, minus whatever PayPal itself deducts as its processing fee for the original transaction. That fee is set by PayPal, not by Ramsey, and is typically a small percentage of the transaction plus a fixed amount. In practice this usually means a refund of somewhere close to, but slightly under, the full $50. The exact figure depends on PayPal's current fee schedule at the time of your payment.

Is the $50 credited toward a package if I go on to book one?

No. The Intro & Fit Call is priced and billed as its own product, covering the call itself. The 5 and 10-session packages are priced separately and paid for separately.

Are the 5-session and 10-session packages refundable?

No. Once purchased, both packages are full commitment and non-refundable, including if you only complete some of the sessions. This is deliberate, and it's exactly why the Intro & Fit Call exists first, so a $600 or $1,000 decision is never made blind. If you're unsure, that uncertainty belongs in the intro call, not in the package purchase.

What if I never book the Intro & Fit Call at all, do I still need to know this policy?

If you're reading this because you're hesitant to book the call, the short version is: the $50 call is the only flexible, conditionally refundable step in the entire process. Everything after it is a firm commitment. If that structure alone tells you enough about whether this is for you right now, that's a reasonable and complete way to use this FAQ, you do not have to book anything to have your questions answered.

Can I reschedule an individual session within a package?

Yes, individual sessions within an already-purchased package can be rescheduled with reasonable notice through Setmore. Rescheduling a session is different from refunding a package, the total sessions purchased remain the same either way.

In what order should I read the trilogy?

Book One, then Book Two, then Book Three, is the intended order. Each book stands on its own and includes a glossary, so reading out of order will not leave you lost, only missing some of the character arc that runs across all three.

Where can I buy the books?

Each book will be available on Kindle through Amazon at launch. This page will link directly to each listing once live. Join the list on the contact page to be notified the moment that happens.

Is there a YouTube series?

Yes. A companion series is mapped one to one with the book chapters, expanding on the same concepts in video form. Details will be added here as episodes go live.

Why write under a pen name?

Ramsey Tudor Tharpe writes and coaches under a pen name to keep this work cleanly separate from an unrelated full-time role. More on this is covered on the about page.
